    As many have already said... While I don't own one (they're fun, but a waste of ammo), it's scary that they're being called full auto. An "accessory" is now illegal even though it doesn't actually modify the firearm's action. Just plain wrong. I wish Trump had stood up and said BS...

    Trump is a NYC Republican (Democrat lite) worse than a Fudd when it comes to guns. Gives lip service in front of the people at the NRA for votes nothing more. And people like Wayne LaPierre couldn?t give two poops about bumpstocks. All he wants is to create a scare tactic to get money for his $5 million dollar salary while helping get anti gun legislation written. I like some things Trump has done but when it comes to guns that?s not one of them.

    Stood up to himself?

    He supported an AWB before he opposed it.

    Supported abortion before he opposed it.

    Supported big government before he, umm supported it.

    The man is a center-left populist with no firm ideological underpinnings.

    We knew this before we elected him. At least most of us did.

    Why are we surprised when he supports the very popular banning of bump stock / slide fire devices.

    This sets a dangerous precedent because if they can ban gun parts at will what?s to stop them from banning things like competition triggers and high cap mags as rate increasing devices..nothing. And there is no guarantee the SCOTUS will hear the lawsuit over this that the GOA is going to file.

    Sooo nothing on binary triggers? I see those as closer to changing a firearms action than a bump stock. Of course you never hear about those on the news..

    I bet this is more about grandstanding than anything else. The EO gets passed, the coverage dies down and it is overturned in court.

    I seem to recall something about taking someones property without compensation..

    This is, of course, nothing more than inane knee jerking nonsense that is wholly a reaction to the Vegas shooting. As Don McManus, other, and I have pointed out, the bumpstock likely saved lives in that event. If you're looking for sensical legislation, look to other than the US government.

    NRA has disabled their comments section on Instagram and isn?t even addressing it at all on any social media. They 100% support this ban(as they still have the statement saying so up on the NRA-ILA website.) Yet again the NRA has screwed over gun owners. Wayne LaPierre HAS to go. I will not give them one penny til he is gone along with the other Fudds in that organization. As is the NRA is dead to me.
