MINCED MEAT PIE!
Any body find this pie anymore? I remember it 70 years ago , was common around the holidays. Now people look at me like what's that? I want a piece with sharp cheese!

kinda like hot cakes dipped in cabbage juice.....not as popular as it used to be ..and many who had that pie vanished in a streak of bilious flatulance, never to be seen again......and PETA was protesting the harvesting of those little minces, hoping they would be elevated to childrens pets status......i heard it on the internet 0 -

as a kid 70++ years ago but my Dad did and I have been thinking if he liked so much maybe I would like it today.

Here is a recipe I used and it came out very good, I was the only one who would eat it. Its like kimchee I really like it but again nobody else does so its more for me[:D]

Well, Christmas dinner my daughter SURPRISED me with her first time home made minced meat pie. She heard me joking about it since thanksgiving. She found the ingredients on amazon and made the pie and surprised me with it!
It was good. and I remembered the flavors I had as a kid.

That stuff is not too bad but there is no Meat or Lard in it. The Meat and Lard give it the real flavor plus the lard makes the pie dough even better.0 -
I like the fake kind without the meat or suet, never had the real deal 0
