    I have always found the international variant with the full length mannlicher stock to be appealing especially the stainless model...

    One small critique was that it would be hard to put a bull bbl or target bbl on it without turning need to auger out the stock channel though I did see one with a twist fluted bbl that looked amazing...

    Totally not true, you can still get them in several configurations with the Mannlicher stock.

    Other than that, yes, the Ruger "International" 10/22 is a nice looking gun.[:p]

    Have one of those. Special order my dealer got stuck with. Looks good, but couldn't repeat groups till I added a scope. Not what I expected as I have a couple of old Winchester single shots that'll lay em in top of another all day long!
    Gave it to Swmbo... SHE likes pretty things.

    Its a nice shooter too. I got it in the early to mid 90's at Tucker guns in Ga.

    It is a special order gun now from Talo I think.

    I had a 2-7x Leupold on it and a leather sling.

    I like the stock, but the rail kind of ruins the look for me. I have always found the 10/22 receiver 'klunky.' I have a 1960 built by the old High Standard that is much more svelte. I do have one though, what other .22 can you spend a $1000 on improving?

    I bought one, just like this on GB. I got it for my wife. I think I won it for around 250 bucks. Donna hated the way it looked, so I sold it at a gun show. Kicking myself for not holding on to it, as I really thought it was a nice looking gun.

    I also didn't care for the look of the Mannlicher stock but the basket weave version is pretty cool
