I have never done this and neither has my friend who just created a Go Fund Me page on my idea. This woman is a Head Start teacher from Chaska MN, has a heart of gold and would give her last dollar for another. She has 6 children who lost their dad 7 years ago when he died suddenly of a massive heart attack. She has managed to scrape by over the years but this year has been quite difficult. Recently the support black lab for her autistic sons developed cancer in his mouth leading to expensive surgery which gained a few months but he is terminal. Now today her A/C compressor in her van went out. If you could help with even $5 or $10 it would mean so much to her. She is an amazing woman dealing with so much and deserves a helping hand. She doesn't want a handout, but just needs help. Thank you. I have been on here many years and never asked for anything. This isnt a scam, I post this here because I know the people here are good people. I got it started, please help me help her. I may end up doing a gun auction to help benefit her too.

Thank you so much to all who have contributed. I must say I am amazed by the caring and generosity of basically complete strangers to the lady who is needing the assistance. Granted I am vouching for her, but it amazes me that people are still willing to voluntarily help those who they have never met. I myself am skeptical of these types of things as I see people doing gofundme pages for vacations or to get a new iphone. I promise you this is not that at all, this woman lost her life husband 7 years ago and was left to raise 6 kids, of which the youngest two are boys with autism. She is very well educated but chooses to work with disadvantaged children at way less than she should command for wages, because she loves it. Always a smile, no matter how many curve balls life throws at her. She is starting school at the Montessori this fall to further learn new methods of teaching, and has really had just a lot of bad things hit her recently. She was very reluctant to even make a gofundme page but I pushed her as she deserves a little help.
I cannot express my gratitude enough, thank you from me and her. Your assistance is appreciated and will not be forgotten. Tammy is a pay it forward kind of person. Thank you again.0 -

Several years ago I was a struggling college student working part time. All I had in this world was my wife, also a college student, and my dog.
By being a fanatical saver, I was doing better than most in my situation and had a couple of thousand dollars squirrelled away in the bank.
Then my dog was injured and needed emergency surgery. The bill wiped out my savings, but I was able to scrape up just enough to pay for it. I had made a post about it here, not asking for money...just venting, needing emotional support.
Another member, who I will not name, sent me an email offering to send money immediately to help....all I needed to do was tell him how much I needed and where to send it. Fortunately, I did not need it....but I was one more financial hit away from a disaster and I can't say that if that hit had come I would have been able to refuse.
I've never forgotten that gesture. I'm in a better position now. I can help.0 -

Again, I am amazed at you all's generosity. We all work hard for what we earn, and it is amazing people are willing to help total strangers. This is a first for me, and it's not for me but I am so impressed by the people on this forum. Funny thing is this is the only place I posted it, because I just knew this is where the good folks who are like thinking are. She posted to her FB and guess what, crickets. Makes me proud. 0 -
Thank you to all that helped. She did get her A/C fixed and a power steering leak. The contributions from the members here helped to ease the pain of the final bill on her. You people rock! I suspect your kindness will come back to you.
