If I Had A Gun Room
I would love to be able to hang all my guns on the walls and look at them and just pick whatever i had up.
That would be nice. Then a workbench for reloading. Plus a workbench to work on things.
Shotguns on 1 wall, Rifles on another, Pistols on another and knives on the last wall.
I would have a metal door and metal casing for the door.

Built 2 for people 20 years ago as side work. Cinderblock walls, with a lot of horizontal and vertical rebar, slugged solid with concrete. Poured concrete ceiling, full of rebar.
Furred out the inside, and sheet rocked. Mounted a safe door for the door. They put outlets inside them.
I?d love to build one for myself, but my old farmhouse was built in 1890 something and my basement is not conducive to such a project.0 -
My late friend and mentor had a huge concrete bunker equipped with an old bank vault door in his basement. It was like going into Disneyland with all of his collection of antiques and rare arms on display in there!
He was one of those from an era of rich guys that never even owned, or needed a credit card![:0]0 -
Pour a cement slab, packed with rebar.
Pour a cement slab the same size at each end, loaded with rebar.
Stand 'em all up & pour a slab on top.
Cut a 3" hole for wiring, install a safe door/frame, have a beer.0 -

You don't have to be rich to do that. I don't have one and don't want one. I either pay cash or do without.0 -
