Military compass?
Considering buying all the older and grown boys compasses for Christmas this year. 9 in all. I remember a thread once that address what the troops were carrying in the field. IIRC it had luminescent that didn't have to be light activated.
Can anyone steer me the right direction?

My Godmother gave me one for Christmas years ago. Then it turned up missing and have no idea where it went. I miss that one and it was a good one with the luminescent face. I have not found a nice one to replace it with yet.

They are not cheap. The real thing is illuminated by tritium (radioactive) which lasts about 10 years.0 -

I received mine courtesy of Uncle Sam in 1969....still got it, made by Waltham Precision Instrument Co. Waltham, Mass. I suppose it's considered old, surplus and ancient now since GPS. I used it recently to shoot some property lines and finding the corner stakes. I highly recommend learning how to use every function on them [;)] 0 -
Couple of Relics: The Binos were carried by my Dad in the Burma China Conflict. This compass is a Lensatic Liquid filled.
