great move..stop the money drain and the cost in injuries and deaths fed up with the USA being used by the FREELOADERS of the world...ALL over the world....bring our troops HOME , our money HOME, and close our borders to all the unhappy of the world that DO NOT TRY to fix their own at home mess....tariffs on messico for enabling thousands and totalling millions over the years across their country and DUMPING them on our POROUS border...we do NOT owe the world welfare..prune the welfare and disability leeches here and renew making all the consumer goods now imported for abroad ..put AMERICA back to work...get em off the computer and tv...we CANNOT afford subsidizing multigenerational do nothings.....

We slaughtered iswas and supported islamic militants in a rebellion against an evil yet largely secular government.
We supported islamic militants who used the civilian population as human shields in their fight against Assad.
It has been stated that Trump is going against the advise of our allies and the bulk of his advisors. These allies and advisors have links to the goat-screw that is Afghanistan and the idiocy of the Iraq invasion of 2003.
Perhaps a different path, a path that takes America's young warriors out of harm's way, is worth considering.
He gave them 6 months to prepare. It has been 8 months, and we are hearing how arbitrary the decision is. Perhaps when the CIC speaks next time they will consider the possibility that he means what he is saying.
IMO, we backed the wrong horse in Syria. Assad is, by all reasonable accounts, an evil person. He was never as evil, however, as the ideology of fundamentalist islam as practiced by iswas and the 'democratic' Syrian forces we backed.
Time will tell of course, but for the most part the smaller our footprint is in the Middle East, the better.0 -

We should still support the Kurds whom were our allies in the fight against ISIS in Syria. They are moderates who let the women be equals and fight along side them. If we leave then Asad's forces backed by their Russian and Iranian allies will push them out of Syria. The reason we have a military presence in the world is so that we don't get attacked here in the mainland. After WWI much of the country was isolationist and wanted to the U.S. to stay out of european wars. Unfortunately this was not to be as the Japanese attacked us at Pearl Harbor. 0 -

Leave all the Arms, support goods, and transports we have there, to the Kurds.

The only path to victory in the middle east is bomb them back to the stone age or use nukes to glass whole swathes of the region

But what truly scares me is the political and religious leadership in Turkey wants the return on the ottoman empire or their own spin on a caliphate
And I weep for any American blood spilled in the sandbox or the rock pile - but couldn't we send over several divisions - a whole army group and put a massive hurt on Isis

I echo Don McManus here. Let me add that this move of his comes at a time we need to fund the wall or shut down the government or parts thereof.
Like Michele Malkin mentioned the other day, 5 billion dollars is nothing. Fund it and build it. The progressives in the GOP led by the likes of Lindsey Graham's coalition is dead set against Trump's latest move. Trump is playing his Syrian card to tighten the screws on Graham's followers, too, as I see it. A bargaining chip to get the wall funded. Representatives that go against funding the wall here will be identified in a manner strong enough to get rid of some of the swamp dwellers the next time they come up for re-election.0 -
