border security measure gets pulled back

U.S. Army soldiers have removed barbed wire along the US-Mexico border in areas where the Trump administration has said more border security measures are needed after local community leaders raised concerns.

About 2 miles of military-grade wire was removed from city land in Laredo, Texas, according to Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) officials. The agency ordered the removals after hearing from local elected officials who raised environmental and public safety concerns with the wire running near community parks.

    In border towns, people from both sides walk back and forth across the border every day to shop, buy medicine, see doctors and generally conduct the business of living. Just like where you live, except they have the resources of both sides to draw upon. It is really not hard to figure out the concerns of locals. Besides, these days almost none of the illegals crossing the border are from Mexico. And whether we like it or not, aliens have the legal right to apply for asylum. It may not be granted, but they have the right to try. Until lately.

    Yep and NAFTA makes it so easy for them to stay so they can take all the cheap service jobs for The rich democrats and republicans can have the easy life with the chords of everyday life and force the middle class to be unemployed because all the factories are moving to Mexico or overseas

    With 1099 jobs with no benefits or pensions, America is nothing but a listless sinking ship with no rudder with rampant welfare and giveaways with a huge mega mega debt in the trillions of dollars!

    Oh wth,....why don't we just give the 150 million people I read are hoping to come to the US amnesty right now and get it over with!

    Shouldn't have any impact on our standard of living. Some of you probably think it would make things better.

    I just hope I live long enough to see all the dumbazzes that want this crap have loads of Gub subsidized low income housing pop up all around where they live. It will be a virtual paradise I bet![:D]

    Yea, just what this country needs. Millions more poverty stricken, sick, mentally challenged people with zero skills becoming citizens.

    Why do we have to be the only country on the planet that allows this chit?
