Done with Mossberg

I waited several weeks to get one of the Mossberg 590M Tri-Rail shotguns. These were supposedly a big deal at shot show. My dealer ordered one for me and I told him to make SURE it was the "Tri-Rail" model not the plain 590M. Wholesaler said he had a 590M Tri Rail. Gun arrived (prepaid)- new sights and heat shield but no tri-rail. I didnt notice till after I got home. After two email responses from Moss, "we are sorry, it won't work right with that on it". I gave up. Why in the heck would they put that on every site and then say it doesn't work right? It scares me that nobody checked this before? No response necessary, I am just having an old man whining session. Paid for something I did not get.

    Sorry for your problems but I believe that it?s The buyers responsibility to check out the gun your buying before you complete the purchase and remove it from the store. Check that one off as a learning experience.

    My house gun is an old 590 20?Marinecote with ghost ring sights and a 12? Hogue stock loaded with the best Fed 00 and slugs. Been a great shotgun.

    It is extremely disappointing that there is a company of that stature out there not doing things right. However, it seems to me if you need a few rails on your shotgun, you can find an aftermarket solution.

    It's not that easy. If I bought the new part I would have to remove the heat shield and add "more parts" according to Mossberg. The fact is when I ordered this 4 months ago every nothing on the internet showed or talked about it not having this important feature so now after spending $650 dollars for the gun they want me to spend anther $50 to $100. They can kiss....

    So you need a flashlight , a laser , and a bayonet? That will clear the hall late at night.

    You must do some tactical rolls and reloads to scare off any intruders

    You didn't notice the missing tri-rail until you got home? How was that missed when you inspected it, in front of your dealer, before going home?

    This really is not the best place to whine shooter, these guys cut you no slack and offer no sympathy. And really, I don't see you have a complaint with your gun, you carried it out of the shop.

    You obviously have no idea what the 590M is. You have no right to attack my buying decisions. You have no idea how much money I have.
    You have no cause to say no one "in their right mind" should spend that for a Mossberg. Inferring that I am stupid. That is extremely degrading and pisses me off unbelievably. I hope it made you feel good to write that.

    No, we will use this for our novice night hog hunters. It would be with lights only. But yes, I do have a bayonet on my Winchester
