If you peel back the onion, most of this hype is media generated. The media being a paid hate group sponsored by the DEMOCRAT party.
As usual these low life's are doing nothing more than spotlighting protests and anti-Trump tirades and Hollywood meltdowns trying to create the illusion the whole USA is against Kavanaugh on the SCOTUS. There is nothing positive about Kavanaugh to be seen on the likes of CNN, MSNBC, NYT etc.
Anyone who watched Grassley and Hatch at the press conference following release of the FBI report can fully witness the de-evolution and hatred emanating from mainstream media.0 -
IMO, Kavanaugh behaved as a spoiled punk during much of his hearing this past Thursday. I don't want a person like that on the Supreme Court, but the preponderance of the sworn testimony thus far is not, IMO, disqualifying.
He should be confirmed.
The Democrats continue to refuse to accept the fact that Trump is President and as such has the power to present candidates for the Supreme Court, and, historically, the Senate confirms the nominated candidate absent any significant disqualifying information.

They wanted a broad net cast so that at least one person could be found to make a statement of corroboration. Once all the known people who may have had first hand knowledge of the two incidents were contacted and interviewed (I guess one refused to cooperate) the investigation was obviously over.
No one added credibility to the accusations so while nothing has actually changed, the perceived credibility of the accusers had taken a minor hit.0 -

Interesting. I found the Democrats to be spoiled punks... I too would be angry if somebody accused me of something so foul as he was accused of without having any evidence to back it up.

Went by the court house Here in Eugene the other day on the way home. Had folks out with signs Saying Revolt.
That was the only sign I had time to read.

I would describe the democrats on the committee as opportunistic power-hungry malicious asses. They are, however, just Senators, and reflect the ignorance and maliciousness of those who elect them. Each Senator is 1/100th of 1/2 of 1/3rd of the government as compared to a supreme court justices who is 1/9th of 1/3rd of the federal government. Each supreme court justice is then, wields 22 times the power of each individual senator.
The standards for each position should reflect this difference. I understand being angry, and had no issue with his anger. It was the punkishness portions that bothered me. 'Did you?' is a punkish answer to an embarrassing question, and whether we like it or not, the question was legitimate given the issue in question.0 -

I think Kav's response was appropriate, and brilliant. It completely took the Dems off their game, they lost focus and it completely changed the hearing with them on the defensive. Did it reach a point that he had made his point? Yes, and they took a break and I imagine someone told him to dial it back, which he did, but once you open those flood gates it's awfully hard to put the torrent back behind the dam. Had he come out quiet, unassuming as the Dems had expected he'd have been on the defensive and been slaughtered. instead he took the fight to them, and absolutely had the moral indignation to justify it. It takes a US Senator to be pompous enough to insult you to your face, publically slander you then act outraged that you respond in kind. Kavanaugh's approach completely took Cory Booker and Kamala Harris off their game, they were so scared that he would make them look bad that their questioning was meek and accomplished nothing. IMHO his response to the allegations was the only way he was going to get past them, any other approach would have left him on the defensive the entire hearing. His contempt for them was absolutely appropriate. 0 -
