new computer win 10 ???

going to have to buy a new computor with that win 10,,, comming off my 2003 xp that came with software programs all ready in it sorry not a geek here am i screwed??[:0] or does the win 10 come with software in the system looking at the 500.00 new dell tower

    question i am soon going to unbox the new comp wondering about the software, the stores seem void of it ,,do you now download apps for the software on window 10?

    i had to buy new, went with 10. not crazy about it at all, but for what i use it for, its sufficient...i would have preferred to have 7 forever.

    Go to this website "http://www.classicshell.net/" and download and install classic shell. Accept the defaults when installing. Makes windows 10 much more like you classic windows.

    I have quite a collection of books from past windows. I just bought a new lap top and went looking for a windows 10 for dummies. I found Windows 10 for seniors over 55. There are several levels of dummies books. I figured I fit the most basic.

    Between the book and my wife's 17 year old grandson I'm finding a few bells and an occasional whistle.[B)]

    I HATE Win 10,,I used 7 for years with zero problems,,it takes my 20 minutes just to edit a picture on 10. Whomever come up with all of these worthless changes needs to be flogged

    i read that MS is makeing 10 the last system i guess i will have to learn it did 10 come with programs installed , or do you still have to buy software for things you want to do??

    Follow IMAHUSKER's advice and go to this website "http://www.classicshell.net/" and download and install classic shell. Accept the defaults when installing. Makes windows 10 much more like you classic windows.

    It will allow you to run Win 10 much like Win 7.

    And you won't need to have any of that installed crapware. There's plenty of open source (free) software out there that does everything MicroScourge charges you an arm and your dangly bits for.

    Apache Open Office completely replaces MS Orifice, for example.

    I'm okay with Win 10 except that some of the unstoppable updates keep locking up my older machine. The first thing I did after 10 installed itself was to disable that damn Cortana thing. And I never use their Edge browser.

    Yea, it was a must to forget xp BUT after some messing with it, I find 10 ok to use and like the roll goes you must "roll with the changes." IF I can do it, you can.

    I have two used computers with Windows 10 on them and am typing this on my old Laptop with Windows Vista.

    I prefer Windows Vista for simplicity.

    You can still purchase Dell computers with Win 7. With a little Googling you'll find many.

    Only thing is nothing supports 7 anymore I believe. That is why I moved up to 10.

    Microsoft ended mainstream support for Windows 7 on January 13, 2015, but extended support won't end until January 14, 2020. This applies as long as you have Service Pack 1 installed

    Still using XP and no plans to change until I have to. I'd still be using ME if that computer hadn't stopped working.
