windows 10 defender av securuty

bought a book of windows 10.. 900 pgs,, talked about windows defender AV is it good eunough or do i need a 2nd party paid AV/ security ie norton/mcafee/ ect i want to plug it into web soon but still learning this new fangled system thanks

    I let my McAfee expire over 3 years ago and their system automatically set me up with Windows Defender. It has been smooth sailing ever since and my only complaint are all of the McAfee pop ups I get to renew!

    i think i will uninstall the trial mcafee package and engage the windows defender ,,book said to get malewarbytes install and shoud be good to go,,i know alot of stuff is scare/scam = $$ want to engage chrome too
