Horizon Airlines plane stolen

Q400 now down on Ketron Island. 2 F15s from Portland responded. Don't know if it was forced down or not. Apparently stolen by a mechanic, who did not know how to land it. Still developing.

    Aside from the safety aspects of a mechanic flying a plane and not knowing how to land it for some reason I find this story slightly humorous.

    Just now making the news. He was touring the whole South Sound area at an altitude of 200-400 feet, and trying to do aerobatics. I find it amazing that those fighters can make it here from Portland in about 10 minutes. That's the Oregon Air Guard. They're the same ones who responded when Obama's air-space was violated in Seattle. They must enjoy the opportunity to create a sonic boon.

    Had an idiot try to steal a small commuter plane here. Said he wanted to fly to Chicago to go to a rapper's concert. [:p] Testified that he thought flying a plane was "easy", that is until he tried it.
