Mighty Mule Gate Opener

Bought a home in Oregon and it has an electric gate opener - which broke on my 1st night there. Specifically, the hole in the arm where the retaining pin drops in, links it to the brace, and it's of course a cast aluminum part. The arms are old and I'd like to get new ones. I'm wondering if anyone has replaced arms but left the rest of the unit intact. Seems to me that just because an arm breaks I shouldn't have to replace the panel and controls, should be able to do a switch out, yes?

Anyone done this and if it happened to be with their 3200xls arms, what did you use for a replacement arm?

    Check here, they have Mighty Mule replacement parts including arms, but I don't know if they have the one that will fit yours. Look through to see if any of them will fit it. The parts are listed in series, and I don't know if yours is a 300 series or not. But they do have for the 300 series

    Call MM. They have all kinds of parts and are super helpful! They sent me a few parts for FREE out of warranty before, just because I'm a nice guy, I guess. [:D]

    Seriously tho, call them.

    Yea, I have a mighty mule opener. The circuit board went bad after 10 years, they sent me an entire new unit for a small nominal fee. I love it!!
    Hey, I still have the old arm/unit out in the shed. I can send it to you if you need it....

    Thanks on the "MM good to deal with" info - good to know, since I'm all thumbs on this sort of thing. 1918 BAR and Winchester 88, I can deal with. Gates and garbage disposals & yard-work stuff - not so much.

    It is not just a Mule, it is a Mighty Mule. Therein is the difference.

    I once had a mule that if he couldn't get a gate opened or unlatched he would make a Mighty leap and jump the fence [:D][:D]

    Seriously, I have a friend who has one on his storage facility and loves it.
