I'm having withdrawal symptoms

From April until early September every time I was home from work, we attended two to three rodeos per week, I have now went six days without being at one.
Only rodeos I can find on TV are reruns of one in Henyetta Okla from two years ago, searched for televised PBR's to no avail. Oh woe is me.

luckily our local district has decided to have a two day High school fall rodeo this evening and tomorrow. So I can get my last fix in before leaving for work on Monday.

Am I missing the actual Rodeo or just the greasy Rodeo cheeseburgers [:D]

    Yup, besides being tasty, they are better than Metamucil, exlax, or Epsom salts for keepin ya regular [:D]
    AFWIW, my wife forbids me the chili fries with loads of jalape?os and onions, she says it has something to with self defense [:D]

    I can make it to the rodeo grounds in Cody in 4 hours and 10 minutes pulling a trailer as long as I don't hit too many bear or Buffalo jams.We use the Park as a short cut from May until the Finals in September.
    Yes, they run nightly from Memorial Day until Labor Day and two Granddaughters who live in Powell normally run two to three nights each week, but the ones horse had colic surgery in late June and has been laid off, and the little sister wouldn't run without big sister, so they sat out this season.
    They did attend a few WJRA shows and did pole bending and goat tying.

    They will be back with a vengeance next year and Grandma will get to make some runs with them also.

    The eldest 12, has won four series Championship Buckles there in the past in Pee wees and Jrs.

    I wish I knew that!
    Kimi(James), his wife, and some of my family had a ball there a couple of years ago!
    My Sister lives up in Bridger, so only an hour or so away.
    I'll get ahold of you, next time I'm in the area.

    Have bent my elbow a few times in the Buckeye, Duffy's, and the Stockman years back.
    During winter months, I go through Bridger on my way to Powell as I go up to Bozeman and across to Laurel and down during winter when the Park is closed.

    Damn, 3 places I don't recognize the name on!
    I'll have to put my Brother in Law on them for me so I have some new spots to go!! Although, the Bridger Bar is a great spot!

    We are about rodeo'd out for the year here in SD, too. Luckily the SDRA finals rodeo is coming up in a few weeks. It is more fun to watch than the PRCA because there are more events for the ladies than just chasing cans- they have the goat tying and breakaway roping, along with mixed team roping.

    The other benefit for the SDRA vs. PRCA is that we don't have the announcer telling the same jokes and playing the same songs for each and every performance, year after year- even with different announcers.

    When I retire- if I ever do- I hope to buy a trailer with living quarters and travel to hit all the big ones- Cheyenne, Pendleton, Calgary, maybe even Ft. Worth, and of course the Finals in December, and as many others as I can fit in to fill in the time.

    He has two fall High School rodeos, this weekend and next, then the Northern Rodeo Assoc Finals in Butte on Oct 4, 5, 6 and he will be done for the year unless some bullridings come up during the winter.
    He has won the Rookie in the NRA and placed 7th overall, so he will for sure get another buckle up there and maybe more.
    I want to go to Calgary and Pendleton for the entire Rodeo some day, but I need to save because I know if I go to Pendleton, I will want to order me a Hamley saddle [:D]
    Another nice out of the way Rodeo that is well worth attending and in a beautiful place is Chief Joseph Days held in Joseph Oregon. We missed it this year and probably next, but will be there in 2020.

    Do you by chance know Jake and Holly Costello.?

    We go to Cowtown Rodeo, a few times a month in South Jersey. The PBR was just in Atlantic city last Saturday night. Most people don't realize how many Rodeos we have in Southern NJ. Mostly Farm area here.

    My oldest son, the wild one, used to ride bulls in his younger days. He would come hobbling home black and blue all over sometimes. He's 48 now and I talked to him the other day on the phone and he had just been to the doctor with his back. I told him what you need to do is ride some more bulls that'll take the kink out of that old back. He just said I know, I know, you warned me. [:D]

    Funny how dad's get smarter the older the kids get.

    Well, I hit the daily double.
    Watched a bunch of kids I know rodeo this evening and got a greasy double Rodeo cheeseburger.
    Grandson drew a nice bull that was pretty waspy and bucked him off at 4.7 seconds, but no shame, it was a good Bull.

    Will be back at the Rodeo grounds at 09:00 to watch another go.
