Kentucky coffee

During the winter in the evenings when I know I'm not going to be driving anymore, I like to have a hot toddy. Sometimes it'll be Irish cream and coffee, other times it will be Kentucky coffee. Here's the recipe for Kentucky coffee for your enjoyment

KENTUCKY COFFEE


6 oz-good fresh ground coffee, but any coffee will do

1 oz-Wild Turkey 101 bourbon, but any Bourbon will do

1/2 oz-Wild Turkey honey liqueur

Optional-whipped cream.
(I like to put some rose water in my whipped cream for Kentucky coffee, it reminds me of the Kentucky Derby)

Mix the coffee bourbon and honey liqueur together, top with whipped cream if desired

    I use the rose water just for the rose smell, BUT....


    I'm going to have to give that a try, I do have food grade peppermint oil. now to decide whether to put straight into the coffee, or in the whipped cream. Thanks for the suggestion...

    I always wondered about spiking coffee. How much of the alcohol evaporates away in hot coffee before you drink it?

    I like the Dickel Tickle.
    2 oz. Single barrel 10 year old George Dickel.
    1 cup black coffee.
    1 Tbs. Half and Half
    1 T. Sugar

    Mix coffee and Half and Half with sugar.
    Stir vigorously.
    Pour down sink.
    Drink Dickel.
