Remember him well from my teen years...mid-to late 60's watching Saturdays race on TV in black & white or listening to it on the car radio with my friends while swimming with the girls down on the creek bank, good times for sure [:)]. That was back when NASCAR was NASCAR [;)]

I met Pearson at the Columbia Motor Speedway a few years back. They had a get together with older drivers and a car auction. Pearson was sitting one row up from me and a local news wanted a story. He ignored her and said he wanted money for the interview. He turned around and spoke about how rude she was and I agreed with him. We spoke for a long time about classic cars. I bid on a steel henry ford he had there to sell. Just wanted too much for it.
