    Man I loved to watch Route 66 when I was a kid. He played Tod Stiles with his side kick Buzz Murdock cruising in their Vette.

    Hate to hear he's gone.

    and the slow talkin, southern drawl, shore patrol guy returning the drunk men to the ship and retrieving the Admiral's pet goat, Mr Roberts.

    both very young roles for this fledgling actor. RIP MM

    He was just a kid in his first movie "Life With Father" back in 1947.

    That movie starred one of my favorite actors William Powell, who also was in the movie "Mr. Roberts" along with Marty Milner.

    I hold absolutely no grudges for reporting a death several years after the fact. So many pass and do not make much of a media stirr at the time of their death. IMHO, the Internet Movie Data Base is a movie buffs best resource![:)]

    My late uncle was the script supervisor on something like 112 episodes of Route 66. One of his longest lasting jobs in that business. I have his folding director's chair from that show. The reason he wouldn't own a Corvette. He always showed up on the set in a Porsche.
    He did a bunch of episodes of CHiPs too.
