Vermont...ground breaking Constitution violations

So a local Police Chief decides to abuse an already abusive "red flag" protective order to seize guns from a person. The catch, the person he seized the guns from wasn't even involved any crime or threat, he was simply the owner of firearms, and a potential victim of theft. So apparently they uncovered a plot by two teens to commit a school shooting. One of the suspects planned to steal guns from a relative. So rather than warn the gun owner, and arrest the teens, the police obtain a high risk protective order and seize the third parties property. This is shock the conscience appalling. This is exactly the abuses the left intended for these gun seizure laws.


Imagine this...you come home and there is a tow truck in your driveway hooked up to your spouse's car. there is a cop there as well. You ask what is going on??? The officer tells you that they discovered a plot by a neighbor's kid to steal your car and drive it into a crowd of people. So the police thought they'd come to your house and tow your car to police impound, to make sure it's secure. Do what??? So rather than informing me of this plan you just rather seize my private property, for crime that I am not even involved in??? I hope this home owner sues the Chief of Police and the city. They obviously have no respect for the Constitution.

I hope when this man sues the Chief of Police and the City, he wins big....HUGE...shameful behavior [V]

    Using their logic they can seize guns from any gun owner, at any time because the potential always exists that someone could burglarize your home and take, use your guns in a crime.

    Just DEMOCRAT ideology taken to the extreme. Its not the people, its the guns. These people honestly believe easy access to firearms are a cause of school shootings.

    Such a response is predictable. Again look at who these people are.
    lets not forget their outright disdain for the Constitution, considered as a bill of negative rights.

    DEMOCRAT ideologues have long made it clear they do not believe in personal responsibility or accountability. So ask yourself who do these people believe should be responsible: Government

    No, we don't have these red flag protective orders yet. I am sure the Dems are chomping at the bit to pass one. I've already told,my Chief,that I will not serve one or order anyone else to..

    This makes my head explode. I participate in a LEO only fb page...and it infuriates me to watch men defend this behavior and actually say "they are just following orders" with zero appreciation for what they are saying. It is shameful.

    Yes, and when that is pointed out they immediately go to calling you the extremist...after all that could never happen here right? So naturally I ask " at what point do you summon the moral courage to stand up against an unlawful order? crickets....

    I actually had a philly cops from a "real" police department tell me that because he works for a"real" police department he doesn't have the luxury of questioning orders. Apparently nothing violates his conscience. Gotta pay that mortgage....well I can find another job...it's shameful
