Question on selling.
I have a sort of matching pair of S&W 1950 44 Special Target Model revolvers from 1955. One shipped to St Louis and the other to New Orleans. Story went that in 1970 they came together with an owner who returned them to S&W. One had its barrel cut from 6.5 to 5" and the other had a 5" replacement barrel installed. Maybe the last one S&W had in inventory? They also got new triggers, the wide smooth type.
Anyway, I may be looking at putting them up for auction. I think of them as a set since they have been together nearly 50 years. But is it unrealistic to try to sell them as a set? Would I be better off to just offer them individually? I think they are worth around $1,500 each, so would a combined price too rich to hope to sell?

Try them as pair. If they don't sell in 90 days relist them as singles. Best. Jp 0 -

You could always separate all of the components and sell them that way.
One of 'our' successful hobby sellers does that with rifle/scope combos 'all the time'. Why not try it with your revolvers?
On a more serious note, if they sell then they were priced too low. If they don't sell they are priced too high.0
