The agency is at least 800 officers short, there?s a consent decree that handcuffs officers instead of criminal. Felons and riff raff populate the command staff and city govt. I still remember their DEMOCRAT mayor telling the police to back off and allow the rioters and looters to do their thing.
As typical, they want to ban firearms or make it difficult to acquire them as means of self protection from honest taxpayers, while at the same armed criminals are allowed to murder, rape and pillage at will.

Sam, the problem is that they're breeding faster than they can kill each other. No joy there unfortunately.
As to shooting lessons, you'd be amazed how many end up dragged off to the morgue in a bag, their weapon jammed with a stove piped round, because the idiot tried to do a "Wesley Snipes" canting the weapon sideways to the point that it was virtually upside down when they let the first one go. That, and carrying in their "dip", which, not infrequently, results in them putting a round thru their own femoral artery while drawing. All good points for our team...just not enough.
(One day, when we have a minute, I'll relate privately what one of our team guys, a member of your alumni assn., did during the resolution of an "encounter" with a cretin who'd shot his partner. His actions, and comments afterward, will make you extremely proud.)0 -

Local prosecutor in a press release yesterday said crime is down 17% in Albuquerque. According to him gun violence here can be attributed to a few hundred individuals, 1000 at most. In a Metro Area of over 600,000. According to him, law enforcement is targeting those individuals.
Nothing said about gun control in this state, but I am doing my part on that, just put on laser grips.0 -
