Goose Island Bourbon Stout

I lucked up and got a full case (12 bottles) when the local shop in Poplar Bluff got them. I got all they had. Now I find out even the empties are collectible. Wow! Learn something new everyday.

    $30 to $65 per EMPTY bottle...makes me wonder what you gave per FULL bottle

    Full bottles hold 16 ounces and I paid $14 per bottle. Thing is the ones I bought were the only ones available in the county and possibly the southern half of the state. When we heard they were being released I called around and found them the same day they came into the store/pub. Son-in-law/hunting buddy and daughter #2 were here for the holidays when she got wind of their existence and impending release. We explore different liquors and breweries so we had to seek them out.

    Don't forget to auction the empty case, too!

    Hold onto the lot a while. The market will be saturated for a while as folks try to turn a quick buck. Wait until all the early ones are gone, and THEN offer yours to the folks who missed out. You'll turn a tidy.
