Selling WW-I Trench Knife

Should I go off the reservation or stick with G.B.?
Trying to sell a WW-I 1917 Trench Knife.
G.B. has a "Collectible and Militaria" category, but
I'm wondering if I should look for an auction site that
deals more specifically with knives than with firearms?
Your thoughts?

    My thoughts are that GunBroker has so generously offered a free forum for us to use.my belief is if you have something to sell that can be sold on GunBroker, and that if you use this forum, you should give GunBroker first shot at trying to sell it

    Of course that's just my opinion, and we all know if you take anybody's opinion along with the dollar, it will get you dollar cup of coffee is all

    Sell it on GB with a reserve. If you don't get what you want, try a collector at a knife and gun show. I always use GB first, then expand from there. GB is seen by people all around the world, which will gardner more bids and a higher prices, in most cases. Just my perspective. Oak

    The forum email hasn't worked in quite some time....and I'm betting this is one reason they aren't in a hurry to fix it.

    I'd list it on Gun Broker with a starting price to be safe....no hidden reserve....LOTS of pictures. I do very well with the no reserve penny start auctions, but we have built a large number of watchers.

    We will be selling a WWI Winchester Trench gun with correct bayonet starting this coming Thursday. It will not give you an idea of how yours might do since ours is a gun with the knife, but it will be fun to watch.

    You can sell it on ebarf.....but get ready to pay out the nose in fees and if your buyer says he isn't happy for ANY reason they will refund his money and you will be out both the fees, money and your knife.

    Appreciate all the advice. I have listed it on G.B. Was just wondering if I should cast a wider net. In no hurry, so I'll wait and see. What appear to be comparable knives have been listed at $500. with NO watchers, down to $375 with some interest shown. Have listed it with a minimum bid of $350. and no hidden reserve. (FWIW I despise hidden reserves and will not respond to auctions on that basis even if interested in the item.)
    Only drawback is that the knife is with my sister a couple of hundred miles to the south and she doesn't take the best pictures. If I can find someone who's interested, I'm sure we can work something out.

    I have an L.F.&C. made in New Britain, Conn. with sheath both in excellent condition. Was offered $1,500 for it awhile back. JFYI. Good luck
