Drives Me Nuts

Compare auction 795133695 to 795059940. You wait for weeks sometimes months for right one to come along and non-paying NR's get on and drive price thru the sky. Oh well, not much you can do, I guess. It is what it is. Does this happen to you?

    Who would want to do anything about it? Here in the United States we call it freedom... And let's not forget free enterprise

    Yes, you have a good point, but was really talking about non-paying NR"s driving up price. Fixed it.

    well you can't say that they're non-paying bidders yet as the auctions are still going ,
    and there is a big difference between a 12 ga. with alot of use compared to a 16 ga. with hardy any

    Too many times I have checked back and firearms are relisted from NR's that drove up price and never paid. Many times their is a "F" feedback and you never see the firearm again.

    I worked with a fellow years ago who sold items on another auction site he would have buddies bid up items to what he wanted to get for it if they won he would pay the seller fee and carry on as it sold and relist again later on
    but flip side it seemed like something I wanted so did several more due to popularity / demand or bad timing on part to bid on in
    with the prices going crazy . some have that "If I do not win your going to pay to get it " syndrome
    such it goes on the auctions

    Once the price reaches a certain point I tune out that auction and go to second choice because I know I can make it look and shoot like the day it left New Haven. Meanwhile the Bidding War goes on.

    Someone sent me a message Sunday saying it wasn't fair that a NR bidder was bidding on my auctions. I emailed back that I just posted the auctions and had no control over who bids or didn't bid. We all have to start somewhere. NR bidders hardly EVER cause problems. I love to be the first seller to give someone feedback.

    Agree with all that you say except "NR bidders hardly ever cause problems" My research says otherwise. Yes, everyone has to start somewhere.

    Do you realize how many thousands and thousands of auctions Kasey has done with GunBroker? I'm sure her research through experience is more indicative of what research you've done. Just my opinion

    Well aware of Kasey's status on GunBroker. If I wanted to sell some guns, she is probably first person I would get to sell them. I just think she has a sellers perspective and I have a buyers perspective.

    My take on things as far as a NR bidder goes is that they are not any less likely to complete a transaction than someone with a lot of feedback. If I see someone with NR beside their name I am not worried that things will not go smoothly. Its actually more likely that they will be more on top of things because they will actually read the email I send out to all of the winning bidders.


    As far as people using a shill bidder.....that is just some of the silliest mess and I don't understand why anyone would think that is the a good way to do business. Running the bids up is like a restaurant filling the seats in their place with their buddies so they look busy.
