Crushed beet powder

Any of you ever try Crushed Beet Powder for deer attractant ???I?ve hunted deer for many years and just heard of it today.....Man told me the deer even ate a hole into the ground where he spread it....Says deer love it.....

    I have tried it for 3 years. I tried the block, liquid, and I have the powder out right now. I have never seen any activity for any of it. That?s my findings, yours my vary but the deer in my area don?t go to it.

    I have tried most of the attractants that walmart sells. I even bought molasses put it in gallon bottles and hung it from trees.
    nothing beats plain old corn and bread

    Never used the crushed beets but if you want deer to dig holes and eat the soil put some black magic in the powder form(the liquid jugs doesn't work as well) out in late Febrauary early March. We use mineral blocks and black magic during the antler growing season, fawn birth/grow season and refresh the black magic one a month from April until September. The does and bucks both hit the minerals hard until mid September then they will occasionally visit the sites after September. Shelled corn and roasted soybeans will attract more deer than anything else around here and if you have a local bakery check with them. The ones around here let you fill a pickup truck with old bread, hot dog/hamburger buns, rolls, bagels, etc. for a few bucks if your on their list.

    Yea,....back when I was still an active hunter, I never used any bait/attractants/dogs/scents whatsoever, and still managed to take my fair share.

    peanut butter,,,you will be shocked what an attractant it is,,now you need corn or something to hold them there but the smell of the gooberbutter will get them to come see

    Around here, plant a garden. They are very fond of tomato and cucumber plants, but they will stand on your chest to graze on black eyed peas. We have so many whitetail deer here in Central VA they are a nuisance.
