Tools I Like

I get all the old and new pipe wrenches that i can get. The old ones i am keeping.

For some reason i like old pipe wrenches and hand wrenches.

Old hand drills. I do not run across them very much.[:(]

I have been running across some hand planers and i am keeping them for me also.

I also have some old hammers.

However i can not found any blacksmith tools yet.

I keep my eye out for them though.

If someone wants a particular item i might be able to find it for you.

Right now i am working on a tool set with an open end wrench with a socket on the other end.

Im also working on getting a set of box end wrenches.

I have all the wrenches i just have to go through them all and seperate.

    I will admit I like the battery powered tools ( I lost three different company manufactured sets and of course assorted chargers batteries ) in my garage fire a few months ago .
    I have been buying back dewalt tools in there place ( one of the brands I did not loose they were in the pole barn at the time ) that way all use the same battery's and chargers . I bought the others as well at sales or auctions so thats why the mix of brands .
    but for many many years I refused to buy even one being cheep [:I]I hated the thought of replacing battery's all the time when I have corded tools that are 30- 40 years old ( some a lot newer of course ) that work just like the day I bought them plug in and go
    but being they are handy and take any where I have developed a fondness for the portable battery powered tools

    also some specialty tools sure make it easy as a kid I had a adjustable wrench , vise grips and a 3/8 to 3/4 cheap socket set .. now like you Dave I have more tools than some shops running a business [:D][:D]

    Dav- have a small steel plane I picked up at a farm auction when I was 12. Paid 75 cents for it. Can make one continuous curl of shavings the length of an 8 ft 2x4. I also have a few English handsaws- can cut a 2x4 in the time it takes me to find the extension cord for the Skilsaw.
