Low "E" glass!
Neighbor had his vinyl siding showing signs of "melting" in small areas. He's a pretty moxie guy and did some research. Turns out his neighbor installed some of these low E windows and this is what was causing the problem! Evidently this glass flexes due to various pressure changes and acts as a magnafying glass if the sun reflects just so! Optamine distance is 20'-25'.

Rosemont IL convention center. At one time, had a curved 3 story mirror wall. In Feb when temp was 10 degrees, you could walk 30 ft out in the courtyard, and stand there comfortably in shirt sleeves. You were at the focal point of that big curved mirror. 5 minutes= sunburned. 0 -
We studied that building in my drafting class as something not to do.
Also they kill a bunch of birds each year.
