household spray stuff vs wasps

I have had many encounters with wasps in the garage. unfortunately for them, there were shelves full of spray cans for me to experiment with.

I use Gumout to clean a lot of things. found that it kills bugs immediately. they might as well have got blasted with a litle mini shotgun. except wasps. when they are flying at me anyways.

I tried everything else from spray paint to oven cleaner. didn't faze them. until I got to the air freshener. they didn't want any part of that. iirc it killed them too, if I got them wet they flew to the wall, got groggy and fell to the floor dead.

    For a web worm nest just out of reach for the wasp spray I grabbed a can of carb cleaner.

    It not only reached the nest but it sounded like a miniature hail storm as the worms started hitting the leaves below. Haven't had any more since.

    But starting fluid and a lighter are still my favorite anti-wasp weapon.[:D]

    Sprayed wasps with "Air Freshener, they didn't want any part of that."

    I'm using Bifen IT. A commercial grade pest eradicator.

    I'm being very judicious in its application. With exposed wires everywhere. If not for that, it would be WAR. [;)]

    My Yellow jackets are gone we had our first frost.

    Now the wasps are still here but dieing off fast.

[;)]how about put a box over the fuse box and seal it with caulk. they can't get in or out. the ones inside will die off, and wasps outside don't particularly care about building a nest on a featureless cardboard/wood box stuck to the wall. or at least it would be easier to kill them and remove the nest.

    Sounds like it may inhibit my access to the fuse box panel. [:0][B)][^][}:)]




    Which is in my downstairs bathroom.

    Nasty things we hate repel others. Ammonia, Peroxide, Chlorine...

    Or just buy the stuff designing to get rid of them[:o)]

    I may have had help with the yellow Jackets.

    Last few mornings I have been getting a wiff of a skunk. So have been very careful to look where I am going.

    Though expensive when needed Electrical Cleaner does too.
