Some times it Pays to go Drinkin

Was up in the Dells & Montello this weekend going back and forth. They are some 35 miles or so apart. Stopped at my favorite watering hole in the state Yahooz in Montello on the way up. Won the shake of the day $76 on Friday. Stopped there on the way back today and won another $57.

    I don't know what this is. Sounds like you guys are gambling....which is frowned upon by the great state of Alabama. One day they might let us have some fun....I don't think we'd be allowed to dance if it weren't for that hero in the Footloose movie! [:D]

    That amount wouldn't cover a DUI around here.......no where close [;)], I guess you can tell what I think of drinking & driving [:)]

    Round here DUI is $3500.oo and your walking for 6 months. Thats for your 1st offence. I think you need to drink 2 or 3 to have that privledge.
    It does pay to go drinkin if you have a ride[:p]

    It's a bar dice game, you have to shake 5 of a particular number that changes ever day. How many football pools does the great state of Alabama prosecute a year, same thing. It costs a $1 a shake, the number I was after were 3's. Shook a three on the first roll got 3 more on the second and the and the 5th one on the third. Pretty much the same thing on the second day but shook 2's.

    Fleet reserve I occasion used to have a a shake with a running pot until it is won, 5 gets the dough 4 gets a free drink cost a buck to shake,
    Race pools Etc.
    Also a weekly draw sign the book and win the pot if your name is called.

    We had to stop all that due to the local PD thinking it was easier to bust some old men gambling a few bucks than going after real trouble like dope dealers and robbers.

    but just think you are allowed to marry brother or sisters.........isn't that enough of a gamble??

    Personally I have never found that drinking paid worth spit. In fact a couple of times I got stuck with the check.

    Brother, sister, in-law, out-law, stranger picked up off a street corner or a nice girl from church. If you marry her, it is a BIG GAMBLE!![:D][:D]

    A friend of mine got married. Got divorced 18 months later. No kids involved. My friend made lots of money. He told me that the divorce cost him so much money it literally came out to over $1,500 for every time they had sex. This was almost 40 years ago. How much would that be in todays dollars?? My guess would be between $3,500 and $5,000 for every time. WOW!! As he put it, that was it for him and marriage!![}:)][:D][}:)]

    Yep, I've been known a time or two wanting to knaw my own arm off the next morning so I didn't have to wake her up.... It is true that the drunker you get, the better they look

    Last night I fell off the wagon in a big way. Got out of bed, left the clean sheets and air conditioning, dragged on some work duds, and went out. To my favorite joint.

    Ordered a small square tomato pie. Watched it creep through the machine. Paid. $10.87 in cash. Took it to my truck and ate the whole thing while listening to a book on CD, windows open, sweating.

    Felt great at the time. Woke up at 3am, and remembered that discomfort. Twice a year is my limit.
