I tried to find

grumpygy
Arrests by city size. To see how bad the Lane county area really is. From the daily reports about 20 per day are arrested some lower some higher so it evens out. So doing the math at 360,000 people for this area yearly 2% of the population is arrested.

Is that high or low. What is scary is about 90% is for drugs.

    I posted this topic on Facebook the page that has all the Mug shots for this area. Its kind of blowing up.

    Grumpy you would also need to take a couple of other factors into consideration:

    1. Were all arrested Lane County residents or were some passing through/visiting?

    2. How many of those arrests were multiple arrests of the same person durinh a p p year?


    I do believe that urban settings have a higher percentage of the population arrested than in the rural settings. Goes to reason there are more opportunities for criminal behavior in an urban environment.

    I did take multiple arrests of the same person into account. This area averages between 20 and almost 50 arrests per day. This time of year we have a lot of outsiders in the are between the Lane county Fair this week and Oregon Country fair last week to add in Bohemian Mining days this week we do have a bunch of outsiders.

    Lane County Oregon, Eugene in center (+/p-). Seems a lot of arrests for a mostly rural area, Eugene is 170,000 not all that big. Spillover from Portland? Cook'n meth in the National Forrest?

    Actually it two city centers that are real close. Eugene and Springfield. Down town Spring field they are trying to push the Bums out . Even Made a Ordnance that street corner Panhandling id Illegal. For both parties.

    Lane county is also one large county.
