Have a pair on an S&W airweight.
Two things I think are positive.
1. The laser verifies/corrects you sight picture.
2. When you practice with a couple of empty cylinders, the movement of the laser shows you what you are doing as you pull the trigger.0 -
I concur with Don. We have them on 2 model 36 Smiths. They are pricey, but seem to be good. One model 36 had them when we bought it 10-12 years ago. No idea how old the grip, or battery is, but it works every time.
Really really wanted one for my AR pistol, but $500.00 is outrageous.0 -
The best lasers you can buy and a great dry fire training aid. You will not be able to see the red in bright sunlight. The green is better but still not great in bright sun. We have sold hundreds of these and the customer service is great also. Do not put that stupid laser rod in your gun if it is an auto. I have seen a couple of these come apart and the gun is out of service. 0 -

I've had a pair on my S&W 340PD .357 Mag since the early 2000's. No problems and during these 17 or 18 years. I would estimate I've only replaced the batteries 5 times. I can't remember the last time I put the batteries that's in it now and it's still very bright. They seem to last forever.
I found these grips on ebay back then for $120 bucks.
Something I've found laughable over the years is people asking what would you do if the batteries went out in an emergency situation. I tell them the factory iron sights are still there, you don't remove them to put the laser grips on, so I would use them...DUH. [:D][:D]

As mentioned, you don't see the dot in bright light. But in not so bright they are great. A major advantage is that you can totally ignore your sights! Just put the dot on target and shoot from any position quickly. No need to waste time lining up the rear sight with the front sight with the target while your hand(s) obscures part of the target. 0 -
I have had a set on a colt gold cup for 11 years. Never had any issues with them. I wish they made them for the mustang, would buy them in a heartbeat. 0 -

I did micro surgery on my S+W 4" grips. The button was not always working, not electrically, but getting a finger on it. I melted a tiny bolt into it and it has been great for years. The gun basically shoots one hole at 50'rested. It surely beats the non adj. sights. 0 -

Thank you for the replies. I'm looking at a revolver with these on it beside's the their real world uses I was wondering if they really added any value to the revolver.
Seems to have both real use value and monetary value.
