Need a Quick Opinion on Which Gun.......

About to pull the trigger on one of the below. Which do you recommend?

Kel-tec Sub-2000 9mm (G-17 mags) Nickel Boron Finish: $389 OTD

or

Kel-tec Sub-2000 .40 S&W (G-22 mags) Blue Finish: $359 OTD


My indecision is less a 9mm/.40 debate and more a question of whether it is worth the extra $30 for the Nickel Boron finish. Also heard they had some issues with the Nickel Boron finishes at some point.

    I'd go with the 9mm , ammo is much easier to find and less expensive also.

    What am I missing here??? I used to teach math. Wouldn't 389 + 359 be 748?? Divide be 2 would be 374, right?????

    I went back and edited the price of the first one. Was counting on a $30 FFL transfer fee....but turns out its only $9.

    Do you have a Glock in 9mm or one in 40? If not, do you plan on getting one in either of those calibers?
    For myself, having a Glock 23, 27, and 35 made it a pretty easy decision.

    I have Glocks in both calibers.....making for even a tougher choice.

    Have owned both...Kept the 9mm. I am left handed, the .40 hit me with more blast etc. Both were accurate and easy to shoot...but the nine was had slightly less recoil and follow up shots are quicker with the 9.....

    I go with the 9mm, which I happen to own. They don't really hold there value, but if you ever had to sell it the 9mm would be easier to sell than the .40. Either way they are just plinkers or back pack guns, it's not a GTW rifle.

    Another vote for 9. Cheaper to feed, and with extended mags you will find it to be hungry.

    If the gun is a plinker then go with the 9. If you want it to tip over bad guys if needed then go with the 40. (Not that I'm saying the 9 won't tip over a bad guy, just that the 40 does it with more authority.)

    9MM with wheel-weight cast bullets and Titegroup powder. Ammo is then about $3.00 a box! I have a 9MM AR from PSA. It is amazingly accurate and a ball to shoot cheaply all day. You can buy 32 round magazines for the Glock and really have some fun out to 200 yards. Yup, I said 200 yards.

    I have no dog in this fight, I own no Kel-Tech, no Glock, no .40. I carry a 9, and see no need for both unless you are collecting Kel-tec. 9.

    Thanks everyone!!! I appreciate all the input. Decided on the 9mm Nickle Boron version. Should be a great little carbine. Now I can finally put those 33 rounders to use that have been gathering dust for 10 years [:D]
