I got two Pheasants with one shot.(Roosters only in Illinois)
I jumped a pair of Pheasants, one rooster and a hen. The Rooster flew straight up and away and I dropped him with a 20 gauge and the hen went fast just to my right and flew into a big branch and dropped dead! Broken neck? Either way, 2 with one shot!

I watched 2 foxes screw on a frozen pond once.

But to answer the question would be hard. I have seen some crazy stuff in Africa and in the Jungles of Panama and Honduras.

Sitting in a canoe while fishing in the remote Adirondacks.....up the valley came two F-111s on the deck....balls to the wall.....oh and then a beaver slapped his tail about five feet from me, and scared the bejesus out of me[:p][:p]

Saw an otter while trout fishing a couple of years ago. They are very rare around here.
Watched a big racked buck mount a doe during archery season. They were about 50 yards out of range, but I don?t think I could have pulled the trigger anyway.
Once, while deer hunting on National forest land, a full grown sheep passed within 100 yards of me. I was probably 10 miles from any farm. I never told anyone about that until years later.

When my then girlfriend came to Texas to meet my family (circa '75) we were leaving the Amarillo airport when I saw something run in front of the car.

    She said,"Don't hit that dog!"

    I said, "What dog?"

She said "That Collie!" and pointed.

    "That's a Jack Rabbit" I replied.

Yep, things are bigger in Texas[:D]

A couple of years later we were visiting in New Mexico where an Uncle had the snowmobile ride concession at a ski resort. Several of us went out and saw some beautiful country and were headed back as the sun was setting.

We stopped one time when we crossed our tracks from going out.

One guy noticed a cougar paw print on top of our outbound tracks.

    That got everyone's attention!

Walking along the road in Glenwood,nM couple years back, saw a Coatimundi walking along the other side; keeping up with me like he was getting paid to do it.
Saw a herd bull get hit by lightning near the overlook just nw of Las Vegas,nM. Medium rare right there.
Watched 2 Antelope jump over each other like rabbits do out by Grenville, nM. They played like that till I started up the truck.
I got to see a black bear cub catch a turkey in it's roost along I-25 on the outskirts of Raton. He shot up that tree and the turkey must have freaked him out, so he swatted it, and crawled down, grabbed it in his mouth, and wandered off.
Saw a King Snake swallow a 4' Rattler on #8203;the side of the road by Tucumcari, the same day I watched a pair of Red Racers wrestling just south of Anton Chico, near the Land Grant.

I've had a close encounter with a Cougar several times; once a few years ago in our woods behind our house (several encounters with this guy) and long ago down on my Grandfather's farm while deer hunting.

Probably not the most interesting but definitely the most surprising. Rounded a curve in Yellow Stone and suddenly we were beside this big guy lumbering down the road. He didn't even bother looking.

Stared down a bull moose. Thought I was going to have to shoot him when he lowered his head. Looked like he might charge me.

Was bow hunting just off the Ill. River one year just after it had overflowed and left "pot holes" of water and small running streams of in the backland areas. Was watching a great eggret catch small fish one after the other in one of those streams. Must have watched it for an hour, very fascinating. Came back and my buddy asked if I saw the big buck that must have been 10 yards of where I set up[:0]

I saw a pterodactyl fly over my house one day. Or maybe it was a buzzard. Or a crow. I heard an Owl hoot last night. Didn't see him though.

a couple of years ago watched a big doe deliver a set of fawns just off our yard. saw a big ole bore coon roll over on his back and wip three great coon dogs one night, he was huge! we weighed him a little later at 22 lbs. back then that was a monster around here. jumped a big bunch of deer in the brushy hills of south missouri one morning and saw one doe run out and stop and outa nowhere another doe ran into the first one broadside and rolled her man they hit hard! was sitting in a treestand last season and watched a big otter and 4/5 little ones work up the creek and go right under me . that was the only time i have seen an otter in the wild.

It was a cold morning with just the slightest breeze. I was on a bluff overlooking the creek to the north. At around 10:00am I moved around to the south side of the huge oak and put the soles of my boots in the sun to warm my cold feet. Sometime shortly after I dozed off and sometime later awoke to the sound of crunching.
It was the most amazing 8 point buck I've ever seen eating acorns under the same tree I'd been dozing under. His eye guards (beam tines) couldn't have been more than three inches apart and the others all curved high and wide.
It must have lasted ten or fifteen minutes before he wandered off, but in that time he looked intently at me several times and seemed unconcerned.

I never once thought to raise my rifle, but instead wished I had my camera. I seriously doubt he was a record book buck, but was the most beautiful whitetail buck I've ever seen.

Farmerville Louisiana,, I was 14 ,, squirrel hunting behind the spillway of Lake D'arbonne. I saw an acorn tree shaking like it had a whole herd in it,, when I slipped over to it ,,, there was a Monkey in the tree. I tried to call it down but never could,, I saw him once after that.. Same place the next year I was in a deer stand,, I could hear this LOUD blowing noise I had never heard before and it kept getting louder and closer and closer,, As a kid I was about ready to bail out the tree when I finally saw it,, A hot Air Balloon only about 50' over the trees,, I found out later he was trying to land at the local airport

While on the farm one day, I witnessed a horned owl flying and a bunch of black birds giving it fits.
    They were dive bombing it.
Then, one flew up to it and landed on its back.
It rode there for about 30 seconds then, flew off.
About like it counted coup on it.

There really is such a thing as a Herd of Turtles! One Spring, travelling on 395 North, in CaCaLand, there was a stretch of Road, maybe a Mile and a Half, where there were maybe Twenty Desert Tortoises, all crossing the RoD going same direction. I got out and helped several off the road, and felt bad about Three that were heavily injured...

I was driving to work one night about 11:00 pm when I saw a deer backing onto the highway. It was being pushed back by a bigger buck. It looked like they had their antlers locked. I nearly got a double.

Saw an Albino Doe in WV, pink eyes and all.
Two years later my cousin killed a 6pt Albino buck there, but it didn't have pink eyes, and had the tiniest patch of brown on its chest.

Silver backed Grizzly about 150 yards from camp while packing into the head waters of the Yellowstone River near Two Oceans Pass. We watched him for about 2 hours before the sun set and it got dark. Not a lot of sleep that night.

Watched a Grizzly catch a fish in the Fire Hole River in Yellowstone

Watched 2 huge bull elk fight near Stoddard Creek in Idaho. It was on a sky line as the sun set behind them. I wish I had a camera for that one. The next night one of the bulls breed a cow at about the same time on the same sky line.

2 moose swimming across Island Park Rez.

This morning saw a mountain lion in town. Wasn't carrying today for some reason, won't be doing that again. First one I have seen outside of a zoo or controlled habitat.

I was coming back from my walk, and the lion crossed the road just ahead of me. Could have been a good hunt. It disappeared into the brush and headed to the public lake I assume. Probably trying to get a meal of domesticated duck.
