I did the Gabby Hayes mistake...

Years ago Gabby Hayes, the bearded cowboy hero sidekick, wondered why he had had a beard most of his life. So, he shaved! He did not like what he saw in the mirror. He and his wife went to the mountains until his beard grew back.

Well I have had a beard for many years and thought, I wonder how I look without it. The wife was sent out of town by her job for the week and I thought I had time for it to regrow.
I shaved the beard. OMG I am ugly! I took a selfie, looked at it and deleted it. No one should be forced to see that.
And yes 5 days are not enough for the beard to grow back.
Sorry Honey. It will not happen again.

    And some like me need a mustache.
    Last time I shaved mine was in 1980 and it looked like I had a shingle hatchet sticking out between my eyes and above my lip. [:D]

    My wife and I will have been married 48 years on Nov. 5, she's never seen my upper lip. At this point, I'm afraid to shave it off! [:D]

    Chief I worked with waited till the very last day. He was making threats to every body one word and you die. Dude had a Double chin we never knew about[8D]

    I worked with a fellow many years back
    he had married and had a couple little girls none of them had ever seen him with out a beard
    one day for giggles he just shaved it off while the family were shopping
    told me when they got home the kids were scared did not know him the wife was pissed off said it made him look too much younger than her and he better never shave again .. grew it back as far as I know never shaved it off again[:D]

    Have had a beard & mustache (well trimmed) along with a short haircut for 30 years. Have noticed most with this condition when shaved off appear to have gained weigth[:0]

    Had a Mustache since I was 15. Beard for that last 10. wife hates it. I shaved the beard and everyone said I looked better with the beard, so I grew it back. Getting very long now. [;)]

    I walked in to find my son had shaved his face the other day. He looked SO NICE....but I didn't know if I should say anything??? You know....when mom says "you look nice in that shirt"....you never wear that shirt again type of ordeal. So I just kind of kept glancing over at him waiting for him to say something.

    It turned out to be for a girl. So, I think I'm safe in my approval of the shaved face.....so long as he is dating this gal that wasn't a fan of the beard.
