Need to brag on my lady
For a woman driver who learned to drive in Los Angeles I?m impressed. 96,000 miles on the factory brakes on her pickup. 3 sets of tires, front brakes with life left in them and rear brakes that still look new.
Now my ex would be on her 5th set of brakes by now [:(!]

That gal deserves dinner out. Seriously.
My ex would have had you pulling hair and screaming.
I had to use her pickup for a run to town and a mile and a half down the road I stepped on the brake, OMG, the most gawdawfull grinding and surging. Got home, dropped the right front tire and the right front brake backing plates were paper thin. Her response when I asked why she hadn't said something, "We can't afford another repair bill". WT*, like we can afford you hurting or killing someone.0 -

I worked with an old boy in the gas station when I was a kid.
His standard line to a customer about brakes was always the same:
Think of a brake job as a tooth ache or Dental problems. The longer you wait, the more it hurts and the more it costs![;)][:D]0 -

My ex was lile that, run it into the ground and not say a word.
I had a Z24 Cavalier, awsome little car that run well and was fun to drive. Well, she was driving it while I was on the road, she never told me the heater core was bad and never added coolant. It quit leaking and she kept driving. Came home from a trip in the truck, hopped in my car and the engine was toast, she never said a word. Only good thing to come of that was the only engine I could find was the 3.4? liter engine and not the factory 2.8, I hotrodded it with the bigger engine [:D]
Brakes, you should get a few uses out of rotors if brakes are changed when needed and before you get metal to metal contact. I would have to change rotors at almost every brake pad change with her.
Bryann, I checked those rotors, almost no wear and no grooves, she done good!0 -
It absolutely depends on the make/model of vehicle. I've had a Jeep that was horrible and a Nissan that had no problems at all with the same driver. 0 -

Put my ex behind the wheel, she was a brake pad destroying fool. She is th one who waits till the last second to hit the brakes them hits them hard, never learned how to anticipate a stop, just come up screeching behind stopped traffic. She is why I have high bp [:(!]0 -

My drive to work is around 35 miles of rolling countryside.
I typically hit my brakes twice before I come to the first stoplight about 30 miles in.
When following cars/trucks, I see brake lights at almost every corner and almost every hill. It used to be you could spot the female driver based upon brake lights. Now, more and more of these folks are male.0
