By not appearing at Arlington today. Call it optics if you will, but it is not good optics IMHO.

I dont believe for a min that after taking what most would describe as a mixed bag election he would deliberately snub the military and vets, who are among his most fervent supports. Trump has proven to be quite adept at keeping his core supporters happy.
An unplanned presidential motorcade on Veterans Day in DC would have been a logistical nightmare. Everyone knows that. And it is an absolute certainty that if some war widow couldn't get to her spouse's grave because she was snarled in traffic due to a motorcade, it would have been all over the media.0 -

And there are the very reasons I was surprised at his non-attendance. It's not that I was offended personally, it was the optics as I said initially. I also realize it was an even tougher call considering the splitting of the official Holiday with the Monday observance.
Just to be clear,.....I think overall Trump has done a surprisingly good job all things considered. As most here know, I am not a big fan of his juvenile Twitter rants, but I know nothing is going to change him at this point.
I just hope he doesn't go into full melt down mode and lose focus after not being able to stop the loss of the House, and the continuing chaos with the Senate vote counting that is taking place.0 -
