Gun ID: Killing them softly

In Killing them softly, Brad Pitt clearly uses a Browning HP to shoot Ray Liotta. My question is : what caliber is it firing? It's a bottle necked case, but looks longer than any bottle necked pistol chambering.

    With just a barrel change the .40S&W can be converted to .357 Sig, which is bottlenecked.

    7.65?21mm Parabellum, commonly called the .30 Luger here in the US. This is a popular caliber in countries which restrict modern military ammunition like 9mm Parabellum (Luger). Many popular automatic pistols are chambered for that caliber and in most cases a conversion to/from 9mm involves nothing more than dropping in the new barrel.

    I was the 9mm blanks.

    Go to the internet movie database and you will see a close up of the crimped round ejecting from Pitt's BHP.

    I have pictures of a 5-in-1 blank, and have 1 round in my collection. However, that is a rimmed revolver round.

    As always your expertise is appreciated but is that the caliber seen on screen?
