Ruger American .45 ACP

Anyone have or shot one? I just ordered one for $310! I thought that was a pretty good price to give it a try.

    Looks like a good price...do you have to add shipping and a FFL fee?

    Had one in 9mm. After shooting a couple of hundred rounds I sold it. Unremarkable in every way. Average accuracy, not inspiring. Was not in love with the way it handled. But, we don't all like blondes, so one man's opinion is only that. Hope your experience makes you happier! Oh, I replaced it with a Sig 320. That I like.

    Looks like it's currently out of stock. Just have to add the FFL fee, so will still be in it for under $350.

    That's the majority of striker fired pistols...very vanilla.

    I've been meaning to try one myself. Biggest complaint I hear on the Ruger American pistols is they are chunky.

    I have always liked Ruger auto pistols.I even like the P-series.

    I have liked none of the ruger auto pistols except the R1911 series, have two of those and love them. Features way over the price.

    I have heard that as well, but my favorite .45 is my Glock 21SF, so I know this is at least a bit slimmer than that.
