i'm swamped
with BS emails every day....like to find a way once i have blocked them they would never show up in the IN box again...stopped on the outside and disappeared so i do not have to route them to junk and block again....average at least 2 dozen a day...

I use to get tons of junk e-mail. I would spend a lot of time 'un-subscribing' to their list.
It was explained here on the forums that;
Every time you 'un-subscribe',you just let them know your e-mail address is legit and active.
That particular sight will no longer e-mail you,but,the dozen other sites they sold/shared your info to/with will now send you e-mails. You will then,'un-subscribe' those of which you just unknowingly added 20 more,and so on.
I/we were advised on the post here to ignore them and delete them,but DO NOT reply in any way.
Call it coincidence,magic,or whatever. I took that advice and receive maybe 2 spam e-mails a MONTH of which we ignore. Good luck. YMMV0 -

My wife and I receive many a day, also. There are "free" spam filters that you can download (here). I've used Mailwasher on my and my wife's computer. When you open Mailwasher, you can mark you incoming email as "spam" or "good" or simply "delete".
Then you click the "Wash Mail" button and only the "good" goes to your email client (Thunderbird, etc.), the rest (spam, delete) is deleted.
There is another option on Mailwasher to mark the spam as "bounce". This supposedly bounces the email back to the sender with the "hope" that the sender will realize your email address is "no good".
It's pretty user friendly with a tutorial on how to use it.
You can, also, use the "free" services of Spamcop.0
