Range Report - 300 ACC
Finally got around to returning to the range to sight in my PSA in 300 Blackout.
I'm sure the BDC in the reticle of the Nikon P-300 works well, but not with my tired old eyes. I'll just have to make up a 'dope card' and shoot the old fashioned way. (bummer, more range time)
First target is my 'I wonder where it shoots target'. Which evolved into 'well, let's ZERO this thing'. The Bull on the right is where I was aiming. The tight cluster left and UP (near the other bull) were my first three shots. The one lower and a bit more left was the 4th shot. I rotated the horizontal and vertical turrets 1/2 turn ea and got the hole right and higher from the cluster. From there it was just a matter of 'walking it in'. I know a technique where it doesn't take more than 3 or 4 shots (thank you Harry Pope), but I left my rifle 'rest' (more like a vise) at home. The two shots in the left bull were to see how course the scope adjustments were.

The last two images are shooting @ a clean bull. From a rest @ 50 yards - 5 shot group (Susan B for scale). Not too shabby for an old man w/ old eyes and bifocals (which play hell w/ the scope).
