Does PP take longer with GB???

I sold a couple small items today and advertised PP was a payment option. The buyer stated he paid with PP but an hour later I have not received the payment.

Unless doing PP through GB holds things up this is unusual.
When I deal with people directly buy or sell and use PP it literally takes less than a minute for the payment to show up.

This has already been over an hour with no payment.

Anyone know if going through GB holds things up?

    Don't be surprised if PP refuses to honor the transaction. They don't like gun stuff.

    Also don't be surprised when this gets locked. The forums are not for answering questions about the auction side.

    That should be the least of your worries.

    If PP believes that your transaction involves firearms, both buyer & seller may have their accounts (& money) frozen --- for up to 6 months.

    How far that policy extends for gun parts or accessories is not clear. Be patient & hope that the first level of scrutiny clears both of you.

    NOW you know why so many GB sellers say NO PAYPAL.

    PP is a GB option for payment.

    Like many items on Amazon and eBay accessories and all kinds of items are payable via PP.
    This was projectiles, inert, not ammo and not a firearm.

    IF they mentioned GunBroker in the payment it could be a problem. When I sell parts here, yes, I take playpal BUT I tell them never mention GunBroker in the payment-

    Most likely cause is the guy got your email address wrong.

    I've got news for you under their rules ammo projectiles although inert fall under their restricted items rules, unless there is NO metal involved I know this first hand.

    i dumped paypal and told them to remove any info about me after they ruled twice in favor of the seller when I DID NOT RECIEVE WHAT I PAID FOR...bazzards....never use them again

    Gun Broker taking PP as a payment form has nothing to do with PP being Gun Broker friendly. Since people sell all kinds of items here that are "approved" by PP the site lists it as an option to use if you want to say you take that form of payment.

    I will NEVER take PP after the ordeal they pulled with me several years ago. I don't understand how anyone can support a business that is as openly against the ownership of firearms and put as much funding as they do to fight our right to own them.

    Using PP like going to a KKK meeting because they give away free hot dogs. Get your hot dogs somewhere else.

    I just sent an email suggesting the buyer request a refund and send me a personal check.

    It has been 15 hours since he stated he sent money thru PP.

    Perhaps GB should block the PP option for any category that PP does not allow???

    Wouldn't that be doable in the programing?

    Why should GunBroker protect you from yourself? It's been discussed on this forum for several years that this was a problem. Use at your own risk. It's an option, if you want to risk your money.

    I must admit to having browsed GB while taking a piss, but I don't recall it taking any longer.

    Buyer does not know how to request a refund and he said it did not show up so is sending me a check.

    Perhaps he forgot to click the final send/confirm?

    Whatever this may not have been anything more than a user error

    Still, a good lesson in that I will send instructions next time to not mention anything gunish
