    Pretty sure he said he was going to be remodeling/building a place out in the middle of nowhere quite some time back. He even went for medical testing to be sure his heart could handle it. Said he would probably be gone from here for awhile.

    That is what I recall anyway. Hope all is going well for him.[:)]

    I looked back through old emails last night and found his phone number form a couple years ago when I was in MN and we grab a bite to eat. I shot him a text and this was his response.

    Thanks for asking. Life got busy and have changed my online habits somewhat. Dealing with some health issues which require some changes but overall things are going well. Also bought some land on a lake in northern Mn and am working to clear the land and prep for building a home there. Trying to do as much by myself as possible to keep the costs down. All my disposable income is getting channeled into things like a well and septic system,pouring slab,etc etc. haven't bought a gun in a while and missing that a lot but I'm very motivated to get my place built. I can throw a baseball and hit the Chippewa national forest where I hunt. Just finished cutting up my buck so I have been enjoying venison a lot lately. Biggest change since you saw me last is I have adopted a ketogenic diet and I am approaching 55 lbs of weight loss and have basically gotten rid of type 2 diabetes. Feel better these days, more energy, good project to work on, really can't complain except for the lack of gun money. I appreciate you checking up on me and am pleased to be able to give you a good report. I hope all is well with you and your family and in a year or so if you get back in this area I may be able to offer a chance to boat some fish. Please feel free to give update to any who ask and extend seasons greetings to all the characters on GB forums. Text or call anytime and thanks again for checking on me.

    Wonderful to hear. You are not the only person I have heard of that
    has been healed of type II diabetes by using that diet. Great to hear.

    I guess it is hard to have glucose in the blood if you are not eating carbs good for him, I personally can't give up bread or pasta :)
