Ever tried to cancel SiriusXM radio? ☺
What an adventure that was. I was on the phone with that lady for over half an hour. In the course of conversation my SiriusXM bill went from $396.00 to $99.00 a year. I almost thought about it for a minute, but then I realized if I bought into it I?d be sitting in the same chair having the same conversation with the same lady this time next year.
Any ideas for good stations on IHeartRadio or Simple Radio? I prefer IHeartRadio because I have a hard time closing the app for Simple Radio.

Yep. I beat them down to $60 for a full year.
My subscription comes up Dec. 7 so I'm ready for the next round of negotiations. "Remember Pearl Harbor". [:D]0 -
I had the discussion over a$ 100.00 / year subscription every March for 6 years. Finally I was put on with someone who was called a supervisor. Told him if I could have a $ 100.00 per year contract for 10 years, I would keep subscribing. If not, I would cancel.
Been 2 or 3 years now, and I haven't missed it a bit.0 -

I always call before it expires. 60 a yr for renewal or turn it off. Never fails they hesitate but leave it on. [;)]0 -

Never use your credit card with them, make them send a bill and pay with a check. Extra two dollar charge, but they cant continue your service at full charge. 0 -
Yep, I changed credit cards mid-year. Just before it ran out, I told them I was done. The recycle bin got cards for months. 0 -
I have 3 radios, kinda expensive and I?ve had a few rounds with them but never saved a lot of $$. Maybe I should let you speak on my behalf!
I can?t give them up, I listen to a lot of news, a lot. Plus music talk radio then I listen to a few music channels. But being able to listen to FN every day is worth it to me, take away my FN channel and I would have a meltdown.0 -
If I spent as many hours in a truck as you do I wouldn?t cancel either. The grocery store is about seven miles from my house and I go there about twice, sometimes three times a week. That?s about it for my traveling. When I look at my income and think about $400.00 a year of that going to listen to the radio to the store and back, it just didn?t make sense to me. If I had D. Trump?s money it might be different. I don?t remember what the price was when I signed up for XM but it was well under $100.00.
They don?t make it easy to quit. I was trying to be easy to get along with but I finally had to tell her I didn?t call to argue about it or beg her permission to cancel, I simply called to cancel. As she was finally giving me my cancellation confirmation numbers she was still making offers.
I suspected what quitting on the phone was going to be like so I tried cancelling on the internet Saturday, but somehow I had been put on automatic payment and the website wouldn?t let me change that. I did tell the lady that wasn?t the reason I was quitting but it did help me make up my mind.
The negotiations finally ended when I told her I was going to stop paying so she might as well cancel the service.0 -
We had two vehicles & one home radio that were connected to SiriusXM.
My wife?s car just expired last month and we got a huge bill for it when they automatically charged us fro another year at the full rate.
My wife called them to cancel and she was on the phone for almost 45 minutes with them trying to convince her to stay with them. They kept offering lower & lower prices for various packages, but she was adamant about being discontinued. Finally they had to drop her car from coverage, and I could hear the little Indian boy on the other end of the line almost crying to have to do it.
Our home radio is a Sirius unit, and uses their antenna. It just stopped working last week, and I?m going to call them & tell them I need a new antenna, and when they try and charge me for it I?m going to tell them to just discontinue my contract & drop the radio from their coverage.
If this doesn?t work getting me a new antenna, I?m putting my wife on the phone. They don?t want to have to deal with her...[^]
My favorite channels are Channel 19 the Elvis channel, FN, and Sixties on Six, but I can?t stand it when Cousin Brucie comes on and sucks all the air out of the radio. The clown talks way too much for a Disc Jockey...[:(!]

I bought a new Jeep Grand Cherokee last Dec and it came with 1 year of Sirius XM. I got a notice offering me another year for $99 or 6 months for $50.
Since I don't use 90% of their stations, I will suggest $60 per year or they can pound sand. I will heed JimmyJacks advice and not give them my CC info "if" I decide to renew. 5 bucks a month I can live with.0 -
IF I wanted it I would cancel after each 6 month trial & then wait for the next $5?mo offer. You can pay with a credit card but use a VIRTUAL account number. I do that for anything I pay for on the internet or by telephone. You can limit the total amount that can be paid & how long the number will be valid. That number can only be used at that same location so you have no worry about someone getting your account information.
I know you can do that with Bank of America & Citi Bank cards & probably many others.
You limit the amount to just over their 6 month charge & limit the time to a short time. When they try to charge the card again it will not go through.0 -
Had it for a six-month trial with our last new car. I like oldies but Cousin Brucie talks so much it was like listening to a 60's AM station. It might have been commercial free but there wasn't much music. No thanks. 0 -

bought a pickup that had these a-holes subscrip..i have NEVER answered anything from them and had TWO YEARS of horrible nuisance calls from them...don't know if the dealer was paid for list or the tag office ???saturday eve, sunday dinner ..whenever....i would have paid for a retribution on these bums 0 -

I mainly listen to the comedy channels and news channels too. When I'm driving across the desert, it is a lifesaver! There is about a 100 mile stretch with no cell phone service, or radio stations (except mexican music!)

My KIA came with a 90 day free subscription. I refused to give them information other than the code for the trial service. I heard her typing in my code as I read it off to her. As she was explaining for the third time they HAD TO HAVE my info I said NO for the third time and hung up the phone.
20 minutes later I had free SiriusXM for the 90 days. I put the call center on my blocked call list and listen to free radio now.0
