Savage Fox Model B 20 gauge

Seen this one, not mine. Looks to be in good shape at a decent price. I can't bid on at as I just sent payment on a 16ga Lefever Nitro. Thought someone here may be interested as there was some talk on here of these awhile back.

    isn't the locking lever a long way to the left side of the safety , showing it was a fair amount of wear ?

    I'm sure some of the smiths on here know a lot more about that than me. If it locks up tight no problem, if it gets lose it's actually an easy fix. I've tightened up a couple of old sxs in the past. I have an old gun-smithing book around here somewhere that has the "how to" fix in it. I would have to find the book and look at it again as it's been years since I did that.

    I believe that is the way they were made so you don?t hit your thumb while hitting the safety.
    I believe mine is that way.

    I'll be listing a like new Steven's 311 20 ga. Pretty soon. Beautiful case colors and no checkering. Full and Mod barrels
    Not many nice affordable 20 gauge classic doubles out there.

    I paid a pretty good penny for my "like new," 311A 20ga. (Made in 1952) I like it very much. I hope you do well on yours.
