Catching Up

I'm permanently living in Missouri now. Back on the family farm. Working at the VA in Poplar Bluff. Only have six months until I can retire from federal service after 30 years. Built a new house on the farm. Oldest and her family moved into my Mom and Dad's house here close to me so now the oldest three grandsons will be enjoying farm life. Livestock consists of three dogs, one cat and two chickens. Once I retire I look to expand the edible livestock.

Lots of stories and adventures to share. So, more to come. [:D]

    To get over my sense of impending doom with GB down and I thought out for the count, I went on a gun buying spree of sorts. I found a Clays gun on the GB auction that should be in my posession next week.

    Then I picked up the Steyr 61 MCA carbine in 243 that is slicker than frog snot. I'll post pics when I get a chance.
    While I was at the shop getting the Steyr I found a Martini Carbine that was totally engraved. I had it put on my rack until I could verify that it was worth the price. Near as I can tell the old man who is the consigning owner is out of his mind or doesn't realize what this thing is worth, so it'll be coming home next week too.

    Nice to have the forum back in action. Don't think I could afford it much longer.

    Edible livestock would be more chickens, some feeder calves, maybe a goat and some shoats.

    We reside with a dog and a cat and a ferret and a duck and a turtle and a hedgehog currently

    one neighbor has a pair of rescued barn owls and a blue Merl cardigan corgi

    The other neighbor has two main coon cats (they get quite large) and an assortment of guinea pigs

    Not livestock per say but a menagerie non the less
