Have a heart traps my A$$
Trapped a raccoon last night on our deck. He was eating all the cat food. I wanted to shoot it, but got an earful from my son. I caught the raccoon and decided to take him for a ride down the road a ways. Turns out, the raccoon didn't like the traveling accommodations. As I was driving down the road, I caught some movement to my right. The raccoon was now riding shotgun with me[B)]. I slammed on the brakes and the coon went flying into the dashboard and onto the floor. I don't know who was moving faster to get out of the truck, me or the coon. All I know is I haven't moved that fast in a long time. The people behind me were laughing their butts off. I was too.....after the fact. Word of caution. Don't trust those doors on a have a heart trap and keep a 22 close by[;)] Next one is not going any further then the field next door, in a body bag[;)][;)][;)][;)][;)]

Should've just filled a garbage can full of water and water boarded it's ass. I mean witch boarded it's ass. Then made a cap so it's kin would know [:D]. 0 -
Given time, a raccoon could figure a way out of a locked Liberty safe. If you live trap one, always wire the door closed. 0 -
If I catch a coon it is shot. It will find its way back and feast on your cat food until you put a bullet in its head. 0 -
glad it was not a skunk Oakie... 0 -
That's the funniest thing I've read in awhile.
Thanks for the laugh. [:D]
Next time, make the Son, take him for a ride. [:0][B)]0 -

Once one is in the trap, I slide a piece of rebar through to keep the door closed until I'm ready to open it. Then I run a bungee cord from one end of the rebar to the other to keep it in place. Finally, the trap and raccoon ride in the back of the pickup, not in the cab.
I can't imagine looking over and seeing one riding next to me!!0 -

No, I put it in the back of my Expedition, behind the third row. [B)] I honestly didn't know I could still move that fast!!![;)]0 -
Back when I used to have cattle at home I had a calf creep feeder. The raccoons & possums like the food in them. I caught a couple of them there & shot them. The wife thought it was cruel. She said can't you just catch them & haul them a couple of miles away & relocate them, in other words give my neighbor my problem. I did as she asked, just didn't they died of lead poisoning when we got there. 0 -
You are in the Stone Age.
The new Havahart has a single door it won't come open.0 -
Back home in Bayou Labatre, coons get on our porch, mama just chase them off with a broom. 0 -
