Soup Weather.........
This is the time of year when the hard work in the garden pays off as I just about hate the soup you buy in the stores.
I put together what I had gotten out of the garden, except a can of low sodium peas (which I drained), spices and a can of low sodium chicken broth. Also hamburger for my own calf that was grass fed. I prepared several thing before hand to put it in together. It ought to last a few days as I made a pretty big pot. Those gardens are expensive and a lot of work, but better than anything you buy IMO.

when I was in grade school it seemed like they served veg. soup every other day.
have you ever tried to eat a cheese sand which when 1-2 kids on either side of you was puking their veg. soup on the floor next to you0 -

[:D]lol I didn't mean to make you sick. I still remember the soup served in grade school as I don't think I ever ate it. The peanut butter and cheese sandwiches were pretty good though[:D]0 -
What are your shipping charges?! Yes, it is soup weather. Last 3 days low 20's-high 30's. Too early for this. I make alot of soups my favorite being split pea with ham. Takes me 4 hours but well worth it[^] 0 -

grocery store soup has to be a high profit center....many are mostly water....and i can remember when school lunch had horsemeat ... 0 -

Vegetable soup made with hamburger just isn't the same as made with hand diced pot roast. 0 -
Looks like my wife's soup. I love it. And yes I do eat peanut butter sandwiches with it. The soup we had when I was in grade school was very good. I liked it, and they always had peanut butter sandwiches with it. The peanut butter was mixed with honey most of the time. I remember the little old ladies that worked in the kitchen, and the manager was a friend of my Mother. After about the 8th grade school lunches became totally inedible. I guess all those little old ladies retired. 0 -

Don't fret about the horse meat , it isn't all that bad. It's the stuff you don't know about that will make you gag.
Europian cook at the College down the road makes great saurkruat soup ! (says her secret is lots of pork)
Public is welcome to eat there $5.50 breakfast, $6 for lunch, $6.50 for dinner at their buffet. Great food.(lunch is better than dinner)0
