Wood Screwdrivers

For some reason i have started collecting wood screwdrivers. I have about 30 so i think its time to stop.

I have them in holders on my peg board wall in the shop.

    wood handled screwdrivers? Screwdrivers only for wood screws? Screwdrivers made of wood?

    I have a couple that used to be my late grandfathers long ago. When did they stop making them? Just curious how old they are.[;)]

    I have always liked the old wood handled PLOMB, P&C and early PROTO screwdrivers myself. 30 is a good starting point. Might want to think about wood handles hammers too.

    Last time I checked, Snap-On, Mac and Proto were still making them. I have Mac and Proto ones with Proto being my favorite ones. I probably have some Plomb and P&C ones also. I probably own about 50 Plomb brand tools, now called Proto and appox 450 P&C brand tools a company once owned by Plomb/Proto. P&C tools were made in Milwaukie Oregon. I own appox 70 wooden handle screwdrivers.

    I have a plenty hammers of all shapes and sizes from rubber, steel and brass.
