Nunn,when i started posting on this forum i thought you were sorta mean.Now that ive read more of your posts and replys and have gotten to know you more i now see you as fair and considerate, a stand up guy.

    Day by day, I feel better. My surgeon removed my staples today, and cautioned me not to drive or lift anything over 40 pounds.

    This little surgery has knocked me down harder than I ever figured it would, but then, I am not as young as I once was.

    I have put a few items up for sale on GunBroker, and have a few left to go. I work until I get tired or start to hurt, and then I quit.

    Thanks for asking. It's good to have friends.

    I wished I lived a little closer to you, I would come help you out as much as you need it, and as much as I could. But I think Utah to Texas is kind of a far way to go... But let me know if there's anything that I can do from here, I would happily do it for you.

    Just take it easy and rest and get better though buddy. Okay?

    The older we get the more something like this kicks our ass. Sounds like you have the right approach. Just do what your can, rest when you need to, and be patient with yourself. Wishing you the best Nunn, take care of yourself.

    Good to hear that you're on the mend.

    Thankfully you didn't have to have a hose and pump attached where they made the incision. When they removed about a foot of my large intestine a couple of years ago it looked like I had been field dressed with the size of incision they made. They put a hose attached to a pump in where they did the surgery and it was quiet an experience that I hope I never have to go through again.

    You never realize how much you use those stomach muscles until they've been cut open. It makes everything difficult and the scare tissue is like the gift that keeps on giving.

    i am not worried about Nunn...he was tough enuff to marry a pretty redhead so this will be OK...he knows how to follow orders..me too

    A doctor claimed he took my appendix out in 1949. I was in the hospital for a few days and I have the scar and the bill was paid, but Duke Hospital says I still have my appendix and they assure me there is zero chance of a mistake and zero chance it grew back.

    The doctor that did it would be over 120 years old by now, so I guess it will be one of those unsolved mysteries of life.

    Keep on keeping on, I can bring you a cane or wheelchair to Tulsa, if that would get you there. I will even push the chair.[:)]

    I guess I?ll never know. After nunn told us about the exploring expedition they went on to find his I thought maybe he took a look at it and decided it didn?t need to come out. If he took anything out I haven?t missed it.
