My Daughters Really Really Mad

My daughter is the manager of a pawn shop in the hood. A month ago someone was killed across the street and she heard the shots.

Yesterday corporate told her that no one could be armed in the store. My daughter has been open carrying since about 2012. Off work she CCW.

She told the regional manager Mike that she will concealed carry from now own.

All he told her was i understand but nothing is worth getting shot for in here. Mandy told him Mike if they rob this store i will tote stuff out for him. LOL But if they point a gun at me and turn away i will shoot them.

All he said was i do not want to know.

Mike is pretty cool. He cuts me good deals.

    Keep at least one short barreled shotgun loaded and in easy reach.

    She can not have a loaded gun behind the counter. It is a great idea though. She keeps a Springfield Armoury XDs 9 with her.

    I am trying to talk the regional manager into hiring me to sit in a chair and watch the door.[:D]

    Had same issue at a store I used to work at. Idiot lawyer came in and told us in an employee meeting why they were putting up the gun free zone signs along with other bovine excrement. Went on and on using lots of big words about the corporations liability, etc. I asked him when they were going to have effective armed security. He said we would not have any, so I asked him if it was worse telling people you cannot have the means of self defense, or allowing people to defend themselves, and which would put the store at more liability. Do we not do anything, or actually tell law abiding citizens that they do not have the right to defend themselves on our property? Well, the signs came down pretty quickly, but no one beat their chest in an employee meeting about it.

    The plant I worked for put signs up saying "no guns on the property". The next day about 15 of us went to the office and asked them if they were willing to guarantee our safety to and from work, even if we stopped at Walmart or the gas station on the way. A couple of days later all the signs were gone. I kept a gun in my vehicle the whole 33 years I worked there.

    I guess it's one of those ask for forgiveness after the fact or look for another jobs. Say was this the better job offer a while back or the same job from before?
